this was taken over the weekend by my friend Marvin, who came up to my neck of the woods for visit because nobody else wanted to go see Speed Racer...I'm a little more weighty than I'd like to be, but that's why I started walking and doing a bit of weight training again. That's what that sneaker expense was over the weekend...
Oh, and if you could see the rest of that room, you'd take it for a used record and book store. Yes, I have *that* much in old records and books. What can I say? I like to read....

Tish, thanks for the personal post with picture - can identify with the comment about weight/exercise, but mostly I loved you ability to be vulnerable in public - makes us strong. I have your blog on reader - mostly for professional reasons, this post let me have access to you as a woman.

Part of posting this pic was something of an affirmation of who I am--for other people to see who I am as well. When I look at that pic of me now, I see things I never saw when I was younger: I see a zest for life and a natural sensuality. I want others to see that too.
