For some reason Google has dropped this blog from their index and I am, to say the least, freaking out. I can't believe it. I don't know what happened, or why it happend. It also happened to my friend Ron Miller. If anyone knows why that happens with Google, let me know...

Bizarre, Tish! How exactly did you determine this?

Well, I went in and did a search on my name--which usually yields links to both this blog and my personal blog. This time there was only the link to the personal blog. I then googled "Constant Observer" and noticed that some of the entries that were indexed a couple of weeks ago weren't there. Only one post from '06 and one from '05 were in the search results (along with a "Kinja card."

When you've had stuff in there, and then it's gone, something's up.

I also noticed a precipitous drop in my stats--and all of a sudden, no google stuff in my referring sites

A similar thing happened to my friend Ron Miller, which was a tip-off that something wasn't right.

Hi Tish:

Good news. Just this morning I'm back in the Google index. So place your name back in the index and be patient. You will be back.

hi Ron,

congratulations on getting back in the index! and yes, I'm sitting tight and waiting...and if it doesn't happen quick enough, I'll ping them again...

In between, I've had some good links and endorsements from some bloggers I really respect, so one never knows what's going to happen :-)

In my travels this week I've heard of a new Google algorithm shake-up - further personalizing the search process. Could this be part of the issue?
